Palair is a test match for TRS

Palair Assembly constituency byelection is going to be keen and interesting. There may not any doubt about the winning of TRS, but it is going to be a definite test match for it.  TRS is going to fight the first direct election in Khammam after coming to power in the state.

Earlier in 2014 April general elections TRS got very few votes in Khammam district. It did not gave any fight at all. In Palair Congress got win with 69,707 votes on TDP and CPM candidates. TDP and CPM could garner 47,844 and 44,245 each. TRS got only 4041 votes at that time.

After two years of TRS rule political dynamics were altered altogether. TDP almost washed out in Khammam after Thummala Nageshwar Rao switchover to TRS. Congress was thouroughly demoralised. CPM situation was not improved any more. Generally byelections going to be easy walk for ruling party.

Palair is a border constituency with Andhra Pradesh.  It has mixed population of two different politically dominant castes. Hence it is to be observed with keen interest. Winning Palair is going to be completion of winning Telangana.
