Alarming bells in Rural Telangana

Though it is too early to comment on performance of MLAs and Ministers, they needs to be available to the people who are in distress.

Drought, power situation and farmer suicides are worrying. TS Government must take some emergency measures to address the problem…

Not that some one is fingering at us, but we must realise that situation may turn in to worse in Rural Telangana.

This is real testing time for TS Government, to overcome the emerging aggrarian crisis.

Farm suicides were haunting our society since long time, as the cultivation in Telangana overburdened and creating debt traps.

Farm suicides are not just limited to our state, Maharastra, Karnataka, Orissa, Madhya Padesh, Gujarat and Chattisgarh etc are suffering from the same phenomena.

Making agriculture a viable, livable and dependable profession is the only the long term solution. Providing inexpensive farm water is key to survisal of a farmer.

Suicides are not happening where canal water is supporting the agricult. Suicides are gift of earlier estabments, who neglected irrigation.

War footing efforts needed to repair the damage done by the earlier. Let us wake up.

Dear Shekar,  I fully agree with you on the prevailing “alarming conditions in Telangana” and the desperate conditions of rural farmers. Yes, this should be the first priority to the government, before the situation goes out of hand   Dr. K. Indrasena Reddy Prof. of English Mo# +91-9849730925
