New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Tuesday hoped that Parliament would function smoothly and the Telangana Bill would be passed. “The vital issue of Telangana is pending. We will bring the Bill for approval in Parliament, and I sincerely hope that session goes on smoothly and the Bill get passed,” said Singh.
His comments assume significance as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is opposed to the bifurcation of the state, has sought an appointment with the President. He will also consult legal experts on filing a plea in the Supreme Court.
