Here are the some facts:
1. Chandigarh was built in the area of 20000 acres. Of these only 10 percent lead was used for capital complexes.
2. Chattishgarh new capital Nayaraipur was built in 19678 acres. Of this area only 80 acres were occupied by Capital complex, ie., Assembly, Secretariat and state head quarters. Total Project cost is estimated at 1500-2000 crores rupees.
3. Gujarat capital Gandhinagar was constructed in 14180 acres. Capital complex occupied 196 acres. Project cost is around 2000 crores.
4. Assam capital Dispur was built in less area with the project cost of 1830 crores.
